Karisa and Brady met while involved in UC Choral Ensembles at Berkeley. In March 2009, Brady invited Karisa to his birthday party at a bar, which she couldn't attend as she was only 19. So, they instead agreed to hangout a different day.

They hung out. It went well, and Brady asked Karisa on a real date. Come that fateful day, they picked up sandwiches at Intermezzo and drove down to the Berkeley Marina to have a picnic. The date went so well that it lasted well into the evening. In fact, it lasted so long that Karisa's roommates were convinced that she must have been kidnapped. Worry not, dear reader, Karisa was fine.

When Karisa graduated in 2011, she began work at Google while Brady started law school at the University of San Francisco. They moved to San Francisco's Western Addition for a delightful 3 years. Brady ended up transferring to Berkeley Law, but they had already fallen in love with San Francisco. While there, Brady and Karisa enjoyed multiple beerfests, frequently going to wine country, and making life long friends.

During this time, Brady became Karisa's domestic partner, mostly for health insurance, but she did require a "down-on-one-knee" proposal. Brady has been on Karisa's insurance plan happily ever after.

After graduating from Berkeley Law, Brady took a job with the US Postal Service, bringing the couple to Washington, DC. Karisa kept her job at Google and even got promoted a few times during her DC stint. In 2019, Brady happily accepted a dream position, advising the National Park Service.

While in DC, Karisa and Brady enjoyed eating at DC's Top 100 Restaurants, going on hikes, playing board games with friends, visiting historic sites, and hosting their legendary Fancy or Frumpy Oscar parties.

On a trip back to California to celebrate Karisa's 30th birthday, Brady popped the question. While driving down the Pacific Coast Highway, they stopped at Partington Cove, where Brady had first taken Karisa 11 years prior. They hiked down to a favorite picture spot and Brady was acting super weird. Karisa totally knew what was going on, yet, when Brady ultimately proposed in this meaningful place, Karisa promptly blacked out and burst into tears before saying yes!

After 6 years in DC, Brady and Karisa took advantage of an opportunity to move back home to California and keep their current jobs. During the pandemic, they road-tripped across the country and settled in San Francisco. If you would like their new address, email info@bradyandkarisa.com.
